Mission
The Forgotten Nation aims to educate, preserve, and advocate by providing accessible, interactive, and engaging resources that illuminate Kurdish culture, history, and the ongoing struggles of the Kurdish people. Through curated educational content and visual storytelling, we seek to address widespread gaps in understanding caused by historical erasure and political oppression of the Kurds.

About Me
My name is Dilan Karim, a junior at Regis High School in New York City. I grew up in a multiethnic home with a Kurdish father and an Italian mother. My Kurdish identity was instilled in me from a very young age. My grandfather, Dr. Najmaldin Karim, lived a life dedicated to the Kurdish cause. I was fortunate to be able to visit him in Kirkuk when he was the governor, and this experience formed the foundation of my desire to better understand my people's history so I can carry that torch forward and educate others. I hope you find this website informative and engaging.
